ACTIVE ENGAGEMENT IN OUR DEMOCRACY MATTERS
Events with Commit To Democracy, formerly known as Commit To Flip Blue, are organized to facilitate the active participation of volunteers in the political process. Our events offer training, solid information on the goal of our work, and follow up from Trainers/Organizers to support and inspire ongoing regular volunteering. We believe that being an active citizen requires consistent involvement in our democracy. We strive to find the best and most effective means to work to expand the Democratic majority, support the Biden/Harris legislative agenda, and increase the involvement of a diverse community of voters. We need you to be successful! We need you to continue the hard work to heal and advance our Democracy!

Commit to Democracy Phone Bank Shift (all times Pacific Time)
This summer and into the Fall, we will call for important State Legislative races that will make a huge difference in enacting laws at the State Level to protect abortion, lgbtqia+, and civil rights laws. Are you in? Because we are!!
Join us every Wednesday, where will be calling for two campaigns:
1) Virginia has their House of Delegates and State Senate races in the ODD years. We hope to gain back the majority in the House of Delegates that we held for 2 election cycles (2017, and 2019) and then lost in 2021. We need to flip 3 seats to take back control. We are making calls with Center for Common Ground, a non-partisan organization that works to turn out the vote among black and brown voters.
2) We will be calling for the ballot initiative in November to codify a woman's right to choose in the State Constitution. This campaign will start in September. Stay tuned.

Lean In To Learn Part 1: The Power of Social Media
In this time of misinformation, organizations such as CTD need a way to make sure facts are communicated and ways to take action are clearly and effectively shared with voters. Feel Good Action is an organization with keen skills in this area of digital information sharing and tracking. They're partnering with CTD for two workshops that you will not want to miss. There are two sessions planned, and they build upon each other. We hope you can sign up for both. The session will be interactive, so bring your questions and ideas! Session I topics are:
