Many registered Democrats do not vote! Some are inconsistent; they voted in 2012 and 2016 for president, but not the 2014 midterms. It’s a problem: In CA-04 in 2008, Democrat Charlie Brown lost to Republican Tom McClintock by only 1800 votes. And over 9300 registered Dems did not vote!

Our canvass project is to knock on the doors of these “midterm skipping” voters and ask them to recommit to voting, using our voter pledge strategy. Post primary, we offer a contrast between our CA-04 Dem candidate: Jessica Morse vs. the incumbent: Tom McClintock.
